Aperitivo by the pool with your friends on a lazy summer evening. Cosa cè’ di meglio? Can you think of anything better?!
Every summer I get together with some girlfriends I used to work with to chitchat, catch up on what we did over the past months, talk about kids, friends, work and finish up with some light gossip.
This time we met at my place, so I was in charge of putting together an appetizer. I decided to offer fresh figs, right from my tree, white grapes with Parmesan cheese, and some cashews.
E da bere? The drinks? Not plain prosecco, but a much fancier prosecco with sliced cucumber and ice cubes, incredibly fresh and refreshing.
Believe me, we all loved it, right girls? I recommend you try it for your next aperitivo.
I mixed 2 sliced cucumbers with 2 bottles of extra dry prosecco. E non dimenticate, don’t forget the ice cubes. You’ll love it, I promise!
Now, I bet you don’t know how to say cashews in Italian, since it’s such a weird word: Anacardi! Lo sapevate già? Did you know that already?
And please do not mix up cucumbers – cetrioli - with cocomeri (Italian for watermelon), at least for the sake of your aperitivo! Sebbene…...although you might end up creating an interesting new drink!! Let me know what you think!!
